Here in the Keweenaw we woke to 2" of fresh LES snow with a temp of 17. Still snowing, with periods of blowing, visibilty at times reduced to a 1/4 mi. or less. By mid-week the forecast is calling for temps in the mid thirties & a possibility of rain, sure hope that part doesn't happen. 2 p.m. received an additional 2" this afternoon, temp remains at 18, currently ocassional light snows with brief periods of winds & increased snowfall.

I left Greenland this morning at 3:30am EST and there was 6-7" on the ground and still snowing and blowing. things are at least froze somewhat underneath...off to a good start I hope.

Wound up with about 2-3” in Watersmeet Cisco chain area. Good news watched lake go from 80% open to completely froze over in about an 8 hour period. So hopefully we continue to build ice.
