Throwback to when Polaris made the headlines in Hawaii (yes you read that correctly). "There they were: two snowmobiles on the beach at Waikiki. Puzzled onlookers watched as two drivers, attired in suits designed to keep them comfortable in 40-below weather, revved up the machines and took off down the sand. Polaris of Minneapolis was introducing its 1973 line to a convention of Mainland dealers at the Sheraton-Waikiki Hotel."

Dorothy Mercer and Bob Eastman, two racers from the 1972 Polaris Factory Team, were highlighted in the Thursday March 23rd, 1972 issue of The Honolulu Adviser.

I remember Bob Eastman from the Poo Factory race team very well. Years later he helped me out a bunch, with some tricks I didn't know of. My 79 TXL, was a absolute rocket clutched right.
