Just bought my son a mint enticer for his first sled-hes 10. I was surprised how strong this thing runs. When I bought this thing the guy swore that even though the stickers say its a 300 that because it was a "special twin" it was a 340. I thought the enticers 300's that I had seen before were one lungers. It looks almost identical to my old exciter 440 as far as layout fan cooled twin w/ a single carb-single pipe. Maybe someone remembers. I tried looking for the displacement label that I think is on the cast on the crankcase but didn't find it. Anyway if someone has any info it would be appreciated.

We had an ET 300 for the kids. Its the same size sled as the 250, but with a small twin. Great little sled, very tough. Kids tryed to kill it for years. LOL Its probably still running somewhere. It would do over 60 mph. Always ran great.

My son rode an Ovation for a few years, it was a 340/single carb and had some spunk. Topped out at 55+. Fun to ride on tight trails and in the yard! For my son's first 'riding' trip we went to the Twin Lakes area. He rode one day and decided to ride with mom on the 2-up the next day. I decided to ride the 340 one afternoon and had a blast! But got some very strange looks from other riders. :)

We went to a friends house last night for the first ride and my son and my buddies three sons all whipped the 300 for a while last night, ran like a top. Its so funny this thing will hang the left front ski when you nail it on the hard pack. My son was so happy you couldnt of slapped the smile off his face. When we got home (I was soooo proud) he wanted to get on JD.com and check the weather. Gentlemen I present to you the next generation.

I had two of them back in 1980 & 81 they ran great, put a lots of miles on them without any trouble except when the kids ran into some thing. They were 12 and 14 at the time, I liked it too: use to think of it as a sports car, light easy to handle, not much suspention compared to todays machines. Probably the reason I got newer machines was more suspention and the kids went off to college,so it was just my wife and I.

I had a 80' or 82' ET 340, that thing was fast for its time. Was one of the 1st oil injected models. It did about 80 MPH and the windshield would start to bend over at top speed. good memories!
