1986 indy trail problems

my sled just recently hit 8000 miles and it started rattleing alot, it sounded like it coming from the motor and compression on the mag side id 100 psi and compression on the pto side is 120 and i had my friend take a look at it and said it could b the crank also or the crank bearings so let me no what you think i gotta do to fix it or advice or anything

yes ik im just trying to get it runnin so i can sell it and at least get something for it

That's what happens when you pin it ALL THE TIME. It would help to let it warm up too. Me and Eric will come over and tear it apart for you, I think you lost a ring.

rattling= lost piston skirt, bad rod bearing, piston slap, something else is loose.

You need a rebuild any way you slice it.

ok scott i let it warm up for a good 5 mins minimum when i ride it and ya i was plannin on just rebuilding it

your idea of warming it up is hittin the throttle every 2 seconds.
