Not a ton of progress today but some. Trimmed slides so they don't grab in reverse. Installed mud flap. Bolted seat down and lined up snaps in the front. Fixed secondary clutch. (Turns out it had the wrong spacer in the middle) And put some high temp silicone to seal up the exhaust.

Made some actual progress today. Wired up a thumb warmer with a separate switch. (Pic 1) Always wanted to do that and make it look factory original. Tensioned and aligned track. Aligned skis. (Pic 2) Laid new tunnel graphics (pic 3) got the handlebars all fit for me and installed handlebar pad. Taped off and painted rear bumper, Re-installed. Used some high temp copper sealant to seal up exhaust joints. Getting down to the nitty gritty.

Coming together nicely! Going to be one fast, sharp sled and by the looks of things, will be done in plenty of time for the Houghton adventurel.

I know it's been a while since I've posted an update. Finally got the hood back from paint. Turned out amazing!! Reinstalled hood, repainted front bumper, got new bumper caps, new skis and carbides, installed a newer mud flap and rear bumper, flared windshield, windshield bag, rear view mirrors and repainted hood screens. Hoping to install the graphics on Sunday then it should be ready for it's first test drive. PXL_20241206_194318625~2.jpg

Those flared windshield are really nice I use to work at a small engine shop and we would sell a ton of the cobra windshields. They looked nice and they work at deflecting the wind.

I agree, it looks amazing! Nice job on the graphics, not as easy as you made it seem. Sled is a classic, looking forward to pics of it on the snow and on the Houghton trip.

And yes, we could all use a bigger shop.

Looks really nice. As Skiroule said putting on the decals and making them look factory is an art.
I'd love to take all the credit but the reality is I have a neighbor that used to work at a Polaris dealership and had a little bit of an idea how to do it. He helped me out a lot with the graphics

Finally got to ride the ol girl, not much, maybe 15 miles or so. Ran good, needs some clutching work and it drinks the fuel. Not sure if that's a problem with the sled or the idiot behind the bars that loves hearing the triple scream. ;-) time will tell.
