Trailered to Greenland and off-loaded there(thanks Lenny). Picked the trail up just E. of BBB's. If leaving from Pat's, use the village streets to access the trail where it crosses Plank Rd., there is some bad water/mud just after crossing the main state highway and Plank Rd. The first 5-7 miles out of Greenland was a little touchy, but then trail conditions greatly improved. North of Twin lakes there appeared to be more snow. Rode just past the overlook at Houghton and turned around, backtracked to the Freda trail, turned around at the road to Freda, the loop trail back to Bill Nichols trail from Freda was not groomed, but sleds had been on it. I continued back to the grade, and to Greenland. The trail to Alston might have been groomed, but it was near dark and I couldn't tell for sure. Quite a bit of trail traffic for a Monday, but there is no rideable snow any place else. The Bill Nichols trail & the trail to Freda were groomed. Trail conditions were good to very good for early season riding (with the exception of the short stretch out of Greenland). See you on the trail.
