1st tix on sled this yr.Lk Minnetonka cops

well just got home got my first tix of the season.yeah I was haling butt 30mph in a 15 yeah that's right 30 in a 15.they got 2 other guys when I was there getting my tix.they were hiding in the cat tails in a channel[Seton]open watter around yeah I would rather obey the 15mph and sink the sled risk dying and then get the 1200 fine for sinking the sled and polluting the lake. kiss my starfish lk minnetonka watter patrol

That's why I ride private property or the north shore in MN. Them cop's got nothin else goin on hugh? COMMUNISTS! How do you get a sled to run @ 15 mph anyway?

Not rippin ya ezra, but a speed limit is what it is. you get a ticket, it's no one's fault but your own. I'm just as guilty as the next guy. I speed too. Can understand the initial anger, but I guess the alternative is to stay away from the area if you think they are a bit over-zelous.

well I just got a call from a bud who lives on the channel. they did there job well today got every one to slow down now they are fishing a sled out of the lake tonight. I guess the guy was able to bail and not get to wet.but I know under that bridge it is at lest 12to15ft deep if they cant get the bumper with a hook someone is getting cold and wet.

Well the other option is to stay off the water if you think there is a chance of going through. I too had the itch earlier this year to get out on the sled, and sunk it. Learned my lesson and will be a little over cautious from now on. take it to a field if you can, if not riding in the garage is not as much fun but avoids all the problems brought up in this post. People will always want to be the first ones out because we love this sport so much but you have to answer the question before you leave. If I get a tix is it still worth riding? Sometimes yes, sometimes no, kinda depends on the tix you are talking about I guess. know the laws and don't complain about the outcome, you made the decision.

Not good. I am surprised they did not recommend wearing floaters after writing you that ticket. I wonder how many they wrote up. Sounds like a gaurenteed trap.

15mph is darn slow. I have to try & hold 15mph tomorrow with the 4s never done that before. I remember old 90s triples triples no way on those either on or off even midrange was difficult to find on a Storm.

thats a bad spot!been in trouble more than a few times going through the channel there.nice & close to the water patrol,i try and go around if im running up that way

With all the snow MTKA, I am sure it will be some time before we see greater lake
thicknesses, even worse in the channels.

Anyone put there ice house out there yet?

yeah lots of houses guys are driving full size trucks and burbs on waconia that was a shocker to me
