Keep in mind, the ski stances are based on a center to center measurement, not ski edge to ski edge. Depending on the style of ski you run, even at the narrowest setting on the Cat, with a pair of wider ski's you might be at 48" or a tad over on a measurement of ski edge to ski edge. Are they (WI DNR) measuring this way or are they merely picking on these 2 particular models due to mfg spec's?-Mezz

This law was made in 95 when Polaris came out with the extra 12 and it is measured from the outsides of the skis I had to wait for my RXL so they could put new skis on it that were a 1/2 narrower on the outsides.
