Put on 120 miles yesterday....from nokomis to mc naughton, hodag trails, sugar camp, and lake Tom trails...most were good to excellent...did have a few thin areas in the pine forests, and had some icy corners...so be careful out there...trail 51c, 49, and 17 were as good as I have seen all season....very little traffic yesterday...however has you got further north the traffic heading to eagle river, and st Germain got heavier, thus more snort, and icy corners...trails are much better south, and west of those areas...and more good news...our expected "dusting" of snow has turned into a good old fashion snow...3 inches so far in nokomis, and still snowing (expecting 3 to 5 now)....just had a group of riders in, they said the trails were really good....railroad grade still looks a bit snirty...but they said it was fine...you should definitely get out and ride if you can.

We ended up with nearly 5 inches of fresh snow in the tomahawk area (same for minocqua, Ldf area)...and it's cold..4 above..so anything that's been groomed is flat, white, and smooth today...and with the forecast temps, trails should hold up well through the week....its really nice out there right now...better get out and ride!!! (Before the next warm spell hits)

That's great to hear. Heading up to Boulder JUnction Thursday. Good thing I waited two weeks instead of coming up for that warm up. Despite what others on this site said. Can't wait!
