Trails are Excellent right now!!! Took a short 70 mile loop this morning...most of the wooded trails are good to excellent (12W, 10A west, 10 W, 10 E, the C trail, and 11N)....even the Hiawatha, and Bearskin are decent ( a bit snirty in spots, especially road crossings, and the notorious high traffic areas, but not bad)

It was beautiful out there today...you really should get out and ride while you can...you don't get trails like this very often.

One tip...watch for a bit of ice in the corners, they look white, but are quite slick....so watch your speed.

Here is the only pic I have today (was having too much fun riding didn't want to stop and take pictures...lol)

This is the "C" trail off of 10W (near Great Bass Lake)

That's awesome......I love riding in that area. All the clubs have their s--t together and know how to maintain trails. I've been a member of Northern Trails Unlimited for years.

Love the reports Attack Man. I rode the Harrison Hills area last year for the first time because of your reports. Trails were great that day and we had an awesome time at Nutzies Bar.

Thanks You.....

You are welcome...btw it's 8 below zero again this morning...(been below zero every morning this week)...so the trails should hold up nicely this weekend.

Northwoods Passage Snowmobile Club is working on installing gps units in all of our groomers. You can get the Groomer Tracking Systems app on your phone
or check it out at gts.groomertrackingsystems.com/map. Green means that the trail has been groomed within 24 hrs - Blue within 48 hrs - red within 72 hrs.
We can use it, obviously, to see what has been groomed but also in emergency situations with the drivers and as a "Report Card" to better use our time. Eventually it will be required by the state so we're just trying to stay ahead of the game a little. We don't have them installed in all the groomers yet but
hopefully by next week they will all be up and running. Exciting!! Check it out.

Meltdown?? That comes in March. One day is not gonna kill the trails. Supposed to be windy also which might help.

It appears there is a charge for the app? I don't see a price

It's a free app. Just download and set up an account password and you're in.

I agree about end of year. Just bought a new leftover sled and can't get away for a few weeks

Made it through the "meltdown" and the trails are still open!! Saw a few sleds out on the way home. Whatever. Some areas took a hit but the base is still there in most areas. Definitely in need of snow but we'll try to keep them flat until then. That's all we can do. Don't give up. It's not over yet!!

Thanks for the update Swampy. We made 2 trips out to the beach last weekend off Nokomis and you had those trails smooth!! Great work

No "meltdown" that I saw...yes road crossings, and a few direct sunlight areas took a hit...but the wooded trails still look good, and with cooler weather expected ,..it will still be decent out there...also....watch for a potential "BIG SNOWFALL" Sunday into monday...its far from over folks, and still decent out there...dont listen to the negative nellies.

Where did u get your info thugboy?? I rode the trails yesterday evening...and they were really good (see my updated report)
Also...not sure where you are located, but there is ZERO rain in the forecast for the next 5 days, with the potential for measurable snow Sunday into monday... (for ALL of Wisconsins northwoods)....its been cloudy all day here today, and currently it's 32. (As of 1 pm)
Again...your info is misleading, and incorrect.
