Happy New Year fellow JD members.
My buddy has a 2000 Polaris Classic 500. It's a great second sled and has always been an easy handling machine. The left side trailing arm was bent due to slight contact with another sled. We bought a used one which is not quite identical to the original and now the sled is down right dangerous at speeds over 30 mph. We were told the used trailing arm was the same part number bit it is actually shaped differently by the spindle and is 13/16" longer. It makes sense to me that this is the cause of the handling issue. Would you agree? Also, does anyone know where I could find the correct part w/o buying new?
Thanks
