The sled runs great on the trail or on hard pack or even being behind someone breaking trail but as soon as i dip into deep powder the sled bogs way down almost like its on one cylinder. If i get back onto a trail it runs fine. Also if i come from hard pack into powder and hold her to the wood the hole time it runs good but if i back off a little or stop in the powder and try to get back into the throttle i cant it just boggs and runs like crap. The air box isnt getting snow i checked. The only thing i can think of is the exhuast is getting packed with snow. There is usually a small deflecter infront of the tailpipe that pushes snow out of the way and this peice isnt there. So im gunna put one on and see what happens but was looking for other ideas as to why this could be happening.

Could be clutching, worn out secondary. or jetting is to rich. Could try dropping needles one notch. mains one size. Keep an eye on your plugs tho.

I agree with Ezra, if your clutchs are worn or dirty it will not stay in the power band under full throttle and a load. Running in powder is always a test if your clutches are performing the way they were designed. There is not the same load when running on groomed trails, just my 2 cents worth.

I am sure you may have check your belt already but see how high its sitting in the secondary, a worn belt could also give you same issues.
