Those 700's are pretty solid engines. Gen 2 poo's; we've got 4 with zero problems at 10.6, 10.9 and 11.6 thousand miles. No rebuilds, just regular maintenance but your results may vary. Depending on where you ride that should be a capable dual purpose machine. I wouldn't trust it come mid-late Jan and Feb if you're riding in the snow belt areas with only 1.25" paddles.
