2002 Indy Ice Under Tunnel

I'm not sure if this is common or not, but I'm having what I think is a lot of ice building up on the sides of the tunnel. This is my first liquid cooled sled so I'm not sure if this is normal. I've always had vintage air cooled sleds (AC Jags & TX's) before.

I only get it on the side, not on the top. The cooling rails melt everything and it builds up on the sides. The problem is that chunks of ice break off and start rolling aroung on top of the track. I'm worried that one is going to get stuck & damage the track or cooling rails.

Normal???

I get that alot on my sled. I think the problem is the trails are too smooth. :) If you could hit a good bump once in awhile it would break them loose.

common on most sleds, should break right off if you are worried about it. I always get it out before a ride. It shouldnt be a problem throughout the day as the chunks wont be all that hard, and will break up as it falls onto the track. If it freezes up hard overnight, it could jamb things up I suppose. We always back out of the trailer anyway, so any chunks come out the back of the track.

This is a common problem especially in cold temps. It is nice if you can defrost overnight to melt some of this build up. If you do not have a way to heat up the sled make sure you cycle the suspension and warm up the track before taking off in the morning when the most damage can occur.
