2003 indy 550 classic electric start issues

Turn the key starter won't turn over,
New battery , jump across solenoid starter turn, tried key switch from a different wiring harness still does not turn over, bypassed breaker still nothing.
What and how to check next.

Put 12V directly to the starter. If it still doesn't crack the starter is junk. ops, I guess you did that. Start looking for bad wire.

Start from the battery. I would check grounds first.

does the small wire at the solenoid have power when you turn the key

Check all the wires and cables, make sure everything is tight. Check the wire by the battery, single wire (I believe it is red/white that goes into wiring harness.) make sure it ihas a good connection. Try to test for power at solenoid (with a test light)when you turn key........

The sled is stuck in my trailer. Going to try to get it unloaded this weekend.
