2006 Fusion 600 jetting

I am still running the factory jets in my 2006 600 which has 1700 miles on it. It seems a little boggy (loads up)down low at times. I am considering re-jetting this fall when I clean the carbs. Past threads have recommended 400 mains, 45 pilots and 1.5 turns out on the air screw. However it causes the sled to be harder to start. Is there any other combinations that work without impacting the starting? What position should the needle be in also?

I have the same sled and wondered the same thing. I bought it last year, and it seemed to lag a little bit compared to my buddy's 2002 600 with 9000 miles (which was very well maintained). I might be interested in rejetting, but not at the cost of reliability...also, looks like a pain to get at the carbs in this machine.

I had the same sled, but sold it this year. My dealer fixed the bog problem with some re-jetting (don't have the specs with me, but can post tonight). It does make it a little harder to start, but not that bad at all. Just had to hang onto the throttle a little bit when warm. But it was better than sitting and then having to feather it until it worked the extra gas out to be able to go.

O.k., so the dealer says that the stock Air Pilot Jets are .6 and you need to change them to a .9 or even a 1.0. But then you'll want to make sure you adjust the gas/air mixture levels to compensate, or you'll run too lean....

Good luck. I liked the change they made. The starting was no big deal.

my 06 switch.... i have 360 mains w/ stock pilot runs great even at 20 below zero..... exhaust temps show i cld even goto 350 mains but that is a little lean for me

by the way the 600's are notorious for startin hard even worse when warm... just give it a little throttle to start.. sld idle fine.. got 7100 miles on my switch also with slp exhaust and intake

06 switchy>> I believe I am running 400/45--1.5 combo on the 3rd clip setting. Made all the difference, less slow speed flooding. Starts the same to me. Agree on the throttle touch when warm. Good Luck.

I have decided to go with 400 mains, 55 pilots, .9 air pilot and 1.5 turns on the air screw. This is based info from a polaris service tech that posted it on another site. We will see how it runs this winter.
