2007 Ski Doo 550 GSX Dies when cold??

I just bought a 2007 Ski Doo GSX 550 Fan and when it is cold it will die until it is warmed up for about 3 or 5 miles. Yes i do allow it to warm up for a few minutes before I drive it. I can be running 40 mph and it just shuts off. I have also noticed it will die in reverse when it is cold. It does start right up every time but I have to restart it several times before it will run correct. Any one have any ideas this machine on has 1600 miles and I love it when it warms up. What does it idle at? you could make it idle slightly higher to get it to warm up quicker. I know from experience that some fans take pretty long to warm up.

does the sled bog real bad as well when cold??
i would clean the carbs and do a compression check start there and report back
