Just purchased a 2009 Apex LTX when I push down on the rear bumper the sled doesnt recover all the way back up to the up position. Ive been told this is normal. Any thoughts on the matter and if it isnt normal any suggestions on how to fix the issue. I dont know much about the suspensions

Any suggestions on where to get done by Mercer Wi. It has the EC shock

If remember there is a certain amount of sag you measure with the EC mono per your weight and you had to lift all the sag out to get it right. Mine would return but not all the way. If I remember right it was just a couple inches max that I pulled out to measure and that was normal. Imo the EC was the best ride Yamaha had from all the monos and mine would eat studders via the EC and ride speed. I was at Pat's Yamaha Friday and service was slow with lack of snow so if you need help now would be a good time to take your sled in.

is the sled by chance sitting on a dolly? if so take the dolly out from under the track then try
even if that is the case you should have shocks rebuilt on a 2009 sled bought from someone you dont know . crazy to start a short season with a unknown that is a ez and relatively cheep maintenance item

Ezra makes a good point. The shocks have probably never been worked on. Take them out and have them serviced. Or take it somewhere and let somebody else service them. In fact it might be time to check the entire sled out from one end to the other. The front shocks could probably use a little attention also. And maybe the dreaded exhaust donuts which are not fun.
