should be a break in period and then a good once over by your dealer... ask if they check valve clearance at that interval and remember a loose valve is a happy valve!!!

The first time my valves were checked was at 2900 miles. Only checked them cuz I figured they were tight cuz the engine was running funny at WOT. Another had maybe 300 miles on his new machine before it wouldnt run because the valves were so tight. We were running in very dusty trails, I changed air filters often, he didnt at all.
