2010 polaris switchback 800 / input needed

A friend of mine is looking to buy a new 2010 s/b 800 leftover.

I know that the poo's had some problems with their 800 motors. I'm just curious if these problems were with the 2010 800 motor and if so what problems were they & what did polaris do to solve them.

I am not sure but I think it was between late 09-10 things were corrected. Make sure you get feedback on this there are many owners that have fixed any issues and are very happy.

I can't speak for the 10' but I have an 11' Assault and absoltely love it. It pulls hard and no lag anywhere in the power band. I'ld check over on HCS for updates and make sure the dealer has done them and then tell your friend to enjoy.

I have a 10 SB 800 all stock with 2400 miles and no problems. I will be adding the fuel controller for next year ( after warrant) to get the most HP out of it.

Apparently the issue was the mapping which is now fixed totally, as others have said. That is what I'm told.

I believe that they have a '09 leftover at Renze's in Wetmore.
