Okay guys, I am truly baffled by this one?! My BRAND NEW Arctic Cat will only reach 7800 rpms. I waited to unleash the power after the first tank, which was at about 120 miles then I opened her up on Kevlar lake Gogebic and was only able to reach 7800 rpms and about 85-88 mph. I know I'm spinning a 141 track with a 1.5 paddle, but my 600 would reach higher speeds than that. I called the dealer, there is no break in chip or anything inhibiting this beast from unleashing its power, but something isn't right. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I hate to say " conditions " , you don't get any more flat hard packed than a froze lake. Belt adjusted correctly ? I had a broke screw in my 07 Primary clutch when it was brand new, AC " goodwilled " me a clutch, so the dealer said. Caused the clutch not to shift properly, I just had to laugh at the time. Wasn't so funny after shelling out almost 10K and having the sled layed up for several days.

Thanks for the reply, and thats pretty much what the dealer said about belt tension and conditions. The dealer also said bring it in, there is something wrong. The only problem is, there's 30 INCHES OF SNOW ON THE WAY!!!!! ;)

Check your throttle cable adjustment. The new cables stretch quickly and could have been mis-adjusted from the get go. Mine was way off! Also my power valve cable adjustment was not even close!!
