I bought a 2011 rush 600 pro R just after christmas. I have only ridden about 6 miles because lack of snow. I would start it occasionally when showing to friends. went for a short ride tonight and this happened. 1-When i hit the reverse button it just dies. 2- after riding for 10 minutes or so it bogged down then died at about 10 mph I freaked but it started after a few pulls and giving it a little throttle. I drove it back home and it seemed ok but not quite as peppy as before. would a cheap grade of gas cause this. it seems to be idling a little low. Help please I am leaving for a 10 day trip in about 2 weeks.

The sled will not go into reverse and keep running until the engine is warm.

I drained all the gas out and replaced it with premium gas. I then rode it hard for about 20 minutes. It isn't running as crisp as it did when I first bought it and it still dies when I hit the reverse button. My gut tells me it is the fuel filter but I can't find it. Where the heck is it located at on the sled?

Change plugs even tho they are new. Could have got a bad one. Let sled idle til 100° then try it. If still does it better check compression.

The filter is attached to the left side of the air box. It comes with gas line and disconnects included, need the proper tool to replace. Try a bottle of seafoam or injector cleaner that might be all that is need. Marvel mystery oil works pretty god too.

compression test is 70 lbs on one side and 110 on the other side. pistons are damaged also. I am having it repaired but what can cause this should I replace the oil pump also?

ask the guy who pulled it apart what the piston told him

stopping and starting it will cause this? that is weird because i have been a sled owner for 15 years and owned 9 different sleds in that time and have never heard of this or had it happen as I have done this repetedly to every sled. Is this really true?

If you don't let it warm up properly or just have it sit there & idle too long without revving it up to 'clean things out'. Yes it can cause this.

Bottom crank case seal was blown causing it to run lean and burnt up the pistons. the shop told me that there was too much damage for the 6 miles that i rode it. apperently it was like that when I bought it.
