2011 polaris shift

Lookin at buying one. Has 240 miles on it. Completely stock other than an adjustable bar riser. What would be a fair price on it this time of yr? Any known problems that a person should watch for? Also has a transferable warranty till 2014. Don't turn this into a bashing thread. Just want some good honest answers from people that own this type of sled or have rode them. It is also the 136" skid. Thanks.

Have not ridden or own one but all the write ups are good. Tons of bang for the buck and hard to beat the price. My dealer has a left over 2011 for $7,199 plus tax no freight and no set-up fee, hope this helps.

Someone in my riding group has one and he loves it. He also has a Fusion and an IQ switchback, which have the same chassis. His shift is newer than the others and it steers better. I thought about upgrading to a new leftover Shift myself, especially as I am considering lengthening my Fusion, but I won't be able to ride enough the next 2 years to justify it. The only downside is I've heard conflicting reports about the shocks - some people say they're junk and others say they are fine.

I heard the samething about the shocks. Snow monkey where you at? I found a hold over at a dealer for 7465. Plus tax and all that other b.s.

I have a 2010 Shift. It's the exact same sled but I have the 121" track. I love it. I had an issue with the fuel but I think that was because of a bad fuel filter that has since been changed. I haven't drove it since that.

I replaced the rear shock with a fox zero. I also put the Cobra track on it. The track transformed the sled into an entirely different ride.

The sled is awesome just bone stock though. I would beat other makes of equal specifications when it was stock. I won't mention the brands here ;)

What did a shock like that run you? Did you leave the other rear shock stock?

Have a buddy on his third Shift. It works just fine for most applications. Expect about 75 for a top end on decent hardpack.

Sorry - Yes my buddy always buys the 550's. Actually this works out well for our group. We let him lead and it is against the rules to pass him. This way we never get any speeding tickets here in MN. They don't hassle you if you are only 10 or 15 over. They tend to go after the faster groups. As a tribute to the 550 he has it wide open most of the time and it just keeps going. Tough motor.

Very reliable

Yeah, the Fuji engine was no speedster, but very, very reliable! I had a few of them for the wife years ago.
