Switch07, my wife who would have blue hair but dyes it every month, loves my son’s NON Pro R Rush 800 as well. This is basically the same sled as your LX. Her comments are that it steers effortlessly, still grips in the corners and rides nice. She doesn’t like my PRO R Rush because it rides like crap. We’ll be getting her a non Pro R Rush next year. By the way, I have 1600 miles on my 600 Rush this year and it is completely trouble free.

That is an excellent update. Your comments mirror the majority of what I have read from other riders on several other websites. That's great.

I know you're in break in mode, but just wondering....what was your MPG's? Some people report 15+ and others more like 12....quite a range....hoping it's more towards 15.

Also, I think you'll get your wish, everyone expects a 136 for 2012....and we'll know on February 7th!

The first tankfull of gas was about 13.5 mpg, but that also had extra oil for break in. The second tank came in at 14.3. The only thing that was annoying was the filler tube for the gas tank. You can still get in about a gallon more when the gas is at the tube by just trickling it in. I think it may get better, but then after breakin I may push it harder and lose mileage....oh well, it will be fun finding out.

Thanks for the MPG info....14.3 isn't bad, will probably creep up to 15+ once fully broken in...and probably high 13's when pushing hard.

Glad to hear you like your Rush LX

I would like to add to this thread to say that I have a Rush 800 Retro LX Pro R. The sled now has 1,000 miles on it and I have been very satisfied with this sled and overall would give it a very high rating for performance, reliability and ride quality. I quess I would qualify as a blue hair at 53 and have been riding a snowmobile since age 8. I had some darting issues with the Rush but corrected that by fine tuning the suspension and putting dual carbides on it. I have the tall windshield and find the sled to be very comfortable in low temps. Gas mileage is no issue with me but this sled is getting about 14 mpg. I also agree with other folks in this post that the Rush smooths the bumps better than any sled I have ridden.

Just bought one last week, 2011 Rush LX, what a blast, only did a couple of adjustment so far, and can tell everyone you do. I also have the tall winshield and Thurs. morning it was 7 degrees and was very suprised how warm it was driving it. The only thing I would change right now is they could have some deflectors so the wind would not hit your knees, (not bad but could be better). It is so fun to drive, we went to our cabin in Springstead from Wed. to Sunday. Came home unloaded it and went for a ride here before the Superbowl. What a RUSH.
