I looked & looked & finally found the clutch specs on the small dealer pocket flip chart that Cat provides for us. I cannot find anything in the catalog relating to this. I can also tell you that I do not remember ever hearing about this at the spring dealer's meeting. Perhaps if a dealer was to have talked to tech reps that were shall I say for the lack of a better term "assigned" to the HC model's display at the show he would have learned this.
All that being said, I didn't order any HCs and had no preseason inquireries/sales either. I did have one inquirery prior to Hay Days & I tried to find out if a machine would be there for viewing. I was unable to get a firm commitment if one would be there or not, production schedules would be close. I was not at Hay Days.
Typically, I install most accessories with no labor charge IF they purchase them with the machine AT THE TIME OF THE SALE, any items purchased later will have a labor charge. Due to the circumstances surrounding these clutches (that is assuming the customer was truely unaware) and due to the fact he was willing to buy the parts, I would install them at no charge. This would be a one time swap.
Just because this would be the way I would handle it, the selling dealer is under no obligation to do anything, the machine was delivered the way Cat built it.
