2012 Polaris Switchback 800

Anyone put some miles on this new chassis? Blew my motor on my Turbo LX and dealer has made me an offer I dont know I can refuse. Wondering how this sled handles with the 136 , fuel mileage ,power , and its Silver , how does that color look ? I just seen pictures of it and not close up.Thanks in advance .

I'm riding a 600 Adventure Switchback and love it. I would imagine the 800 motor would be even more fun to ride.

My dad snowchecked one he also was going to get the adventure but instead decided to try the 800 motor the silver color looks pretty sharp we put on 380 miles last weekend and he loved the ride didnt even feel the bumps just swallowed them up he said got 14 miles to the gallon with it the dealer said probably high number should be around 10 hes usee to 600's and loved the 800 on the edge of the lake when the snow got deep

I bought the 2012 pro r 800 121. Kinda wishing I wouldve went 136 switchy.... The seat is like sitting in a lazy boy and from all the reports I have been reading there is virtually no difference in the twistys. You will love the 800 either way. I have 700 miles of smiles on mine. I came off of the 2010 rush 600. Little more thirsty on oil and gas but its a totally different feel of power. As I say " big horse eats a lot of hay" worth every penny imo. Good luck!!

My bro and I went riding earlier this year. He has a 2011 800 121 and he got a little better fuel mileage than me. Go figure I have the 600 cfi and he has the 800. Wth?

I drove the 800 and I could tell a power difference but it wasn't that dramatic. I'd could go either way next time but without a doubt 136.

What 600 do you have. My 2010 rush 600 had really low gears. Was a rocket from 0 to 70 but struggled to get over 90 and therefore I was in the flipper hard all the time. Gears has a lot to do with mpg.... Big difference from 60 to 90 from my 600 to my 800!!

Go for it. That thing is sweet.
If i was getting a new sled that would be the one !

I'm ridin a '11 shift 136" but in 600 cfi. I like it. But the throttle response didn't seem that great. Also went thru 2 tanks of oil in 200 miles. Took to dealer and they claim that the cable was too tight and was holding the oil pump open. It seemed to want to push a little in the twistys but I conclusion on that is because of the longer track.

how in the world did you blow up a poo 4 stroke?????????
I have no idea wth. happened . Wasnt even pounding on it or anything and it started to make a noise so we pulled over , looked it over and took off about another mile and she was done, thank God it has warranty.

What did you do pwolfy2003? I hope you did the 2012 Switchback, you will love it!!

It wasnt the exact sled I wanted so I decided to wait this POS out . I really wanted the PRO R , and if they woulda had one left I woulda done it. They are putting a brand new motor in my LX and put brand new track in too due to a shock breaking and wrecking track , so basicly I got a brand new sled again. If this doesnt hold up this time I very well could be riding a different brand .
