wondering what other people are getting with the 13 polaris 800 are getting for fuel mileage. best ive gotten is 10 mpgs.... thats normal ridding. im not to impressed for dealers saying how they mpgs are gettin better and better. i got that with a 98 700 triple. i bought the sled new and did what the break said about adding oil in the tank and so on. i got a 1000 miles on it now with no better fuel milage since the first tank that was run through it. not a speed guy but i never saw over 90 mph either. it has a lot of juice but runs out quick on the top end. looking to see what other people are getting out of the 2013

I am seeing any where from 10-12 mpg... Sometimes higher if riding consistant speed and smooth fast trails. Was a up a few weeks ago with some friends that at had Cat 4-stks and their milage was about the same which surprised me. I love the sled. Handles great, has great power... For being down 10-15hp to the competition it runs out very well. Same group had somone with a '12 F8 and who ever got the jump would stay that way. Sometimes me and sometimes him. Neither one of would seem to be able to reel the other person in or fall back. The F8 did get worse milage. My sled is stock and I have seen 112 on the recall once, but consistantly seem to see 106ish give or take.

9.5-10.5 mpgs on my 13 SB 800. about 800 or so miles. Havent had a top speed run yet. Been up to 98 mph in the fields. Might get a top speed run on the river this weekend.

My 800 triple, 200 hp mtn sled gets better mpgs.

I got 1400 miles on my 13 800 switchback pro r and love it I never got better than 10mpg with any of my last sleds but im getting over 12 with this one sometimes around 14 ive never been one to worry about mpg because I usually get bad mpg because I like to use the throttle haven't really changed my riding style with this sled and cant believe the mileage

We've got 3 of them. My wifes and mine are real close if we are crusing along for quite a distance we've seen real close to 15. Ours have near 2500 miles now and I haven't noticed a change from the first tank. Can't say on our sons as he hasn't been with us enough this year to compare. I can keep up with most anything to 90, but get left back after that by other brands. Seems very respectible on oil consumption as well.

I haven't really tried to open it up yet but seems to have lots of pull on top end hit 95 pretty easy once and backed off Its scary how little oil mine uses my dad has a 12 and he gets a little better mileage yet between 13 15 I ran the injex pro oil in mine and he ran the Polaris ves oil amazing the difference in pulling the sled over to start mine in the cold mornings barely can pull It with the ves oil unreal how much easier it pulls

Mine is a SB Pro R... I was extremely surprised on how well it ran on Goegibic... I thought the F8 would smoke me. It really did not matter if we hit it doing a rolling start around 20MPH or from a dead stop. Who ever got the initial jump would stay tha way. We ran on two different days. The first was a day after we got about 3-4 inches of snow and it was warmer. The best we both saw was in the mid 90's. Two days later after the snow set up was able to see 104. I could not be happier with the performance so far.

I had my Switchback ProR going 111 but see 102 -105 easily and often, my MPG is between 10-12 and run pretty hard. My sons 600 pro r sb usually uses 1 to 1.5 gallons more on a tank of gas than mine

Got back from trip this weekend. Trails were great and had good time with the family. Still hoping for one more trip. Question for all the SB Pro-R 800 owners. Under Medium to firm braking with out locking up the track I am getting a chattering noise and feeling coming from the brake area. I did adjust track tension and also the chain which was loose at 800 miles. Now over 300 miles later the chain seemd to loosen up again and chatering is back also. Right after the chain was tightend the noise did appear to go away for a bit until ride back home before headed up this past weekend seemd to get worse. Thoughts?

Stopped at dealer today after work to look at one on the show floor and I seem to have what I think excessive slop on the brake rotor. Along with this my wear marks on the rotor are not smooth and in a circular motion. There are some chatter marks on it. I also took one of there sleds for a few blasts down the trail and not problems with it. Hoping for one last ride and then will bring to the dealer to be looked at.

the chattering(if its what mine is-was doing) is the pull cord. pull it out a bit, turn it around and replace it in, it will fit backwards, hang over the edge a bit, and the chattering goes away.

that chattering is all the time from the pull chord. i fixed that right away before i had a mile on it. the chattering is under braking only that im experiencing

POLARISDAN, mine still did that cord handle chattering when I turned it around so I put a couple pieces of velcro underneath the handle and that solved that noise.
