Rode earlier GSX 1200 nice sled very Doo feel to handling can't say anything bad about the sled just a bit of a gas hog stuck at 15mpg where Yamaha 4s engines 125,139,162 hp get much better mpg per hp.

looking for reviews, input or opinions on this sled yet ?

VERY nice sled. 2014's have the updated clutch. Motor seems bulletproof so far. Sled is very stable and predictable. Feels different than my Vector in that the Vector feels "planted" on the trail where the Doo feels "light" on the trail. I could probably tweak the suspension to get it to handle more how I'd like it to be. The R-Motion skid is pretty darn sweet I must admit! More comfortable (for trail cruising) than the Yamaha Mono Shock (which was best in my book b4 the R-Motion). A "cold" riding sled though and that's a killer for me. Maybe with a taller and wider windshield but I don't know how large you can go. The one I rode had a big shield on it already. Would not be a deal breaker for me though.

My wife has a 2013 GSX LE with the 1200 and SC5 and it is very nice. The 1200 is a good motor and we have had zero problems with the sled. I liked it enough to get a 2014 MXZ X with the 1200 and r motion for me. The r motion is a nice improvement over the SC5, so a 2014 GSX SE with the r motion should only improve an already great sled.

Don't have a 2014 but have two 2013's and we love them. Not as good fuel economy as our 600 SDI's, but only a couple mpg's less so not unacceptable. I thought it was a fairly warm ride, especially the feet -- my feet are notoriously cold but they absolutely roast on this machine to the point that I occasionally have to pull them out of the footwells. I guess maybe I don't really have anything else to compare it to. Oil and filter changes are easy and so far the engine seems bulletproof.

This is my 3rd season on the 1200. Just gas and go, change the oil and filter in the spring, I think there's maybe two or three grease zerts on the suspension and that's it. I've had no issues, none. I love the performance and we get around 15 miles per gallon, regular unleaded.

I rode with a GTX 2 up machine. I was not impressed gas mileage was 13 to 14 blew fuse and head light bulb. Of the 3 sled it was the most trouble. I was riding 08 Vector with 8000 miles ran much better.

I also forgot to mention was about the gas gage. It will stay on full till a quarter tank then start to go down fast.

Perhaps the owner didn't know about the "burping the tank" trick. You can get anywhere from a half gallon to almost a full gallon more in the tank by compressing the rear of the sled a bit. Lets the air bubbles escape. If he didn't know about this, it would definitely give him an inaccurate mpg reading.

Doo fuel gauges are noted for being inaccurate. Best to learn the sled and plan your fill-ups based on miles, not what the gauge says. I suspect that's probably true of most sleds.
