at 575 miles the problems started and got worse and worse.. first the sled was just hard to start when warmed up. that progressed into bogging out at high speeds. eventually she died at a stop sign. went into one dealer and got her back after they changed the plugs and fuel injector.. she started up and i got her on the trailer took it to the yooper (7hr drive) where there was still snow. didn't run right but it ran...only made it 50 miles before it had the same problems and died. this time it wouldn't start at all again. had to wait for snow to take it to a different dealer .they changed the injector and plugs.. why not change what cause the injector to fail??
i now live in arizona so i had a friend nice enough to pick her up and test ride. only 10 miles and wouldn't go above 50 then died.. what could be the issue?? any help would be great and i have the warranty but this sled lives at the shop and maybe i should fix it myself??

Def a fuel issue, dealer shoulda hooked up to check the fuel pressure. Could be pump, all stuff that should be very easy for dealer to diagnose.

that is the prob with high tec. fuel pump could be or a computer issue telling fuel pump or injector bad info . see it a lot on the seadoo run fine then just die chase everything the plugin diagnostics don't see anything. on the water craft u d the ez checks then swap computers with a good 1 in shop and see what's up.

Most likely fuel pressure regulator, either way sled is under warranty, take it to dealer. It takes 2 seconds to hook up the gage and check the pressure.

one would think.. throwing no codes. they said they wanna ride it and get it to break down... i dont know if i should just trade the sled in and buy a polaris? my buddies assault runs great :(

Leave it at a dealer up north where they have snow I always bring mine to central Wisconsin where I bought it that way they can usually test ride it and they also have a good reputation of fixing things. This dealer is where I bought it

I Dropped it off for some work on the way home last trip , picking it up on the next trip

Not a local dealer I would trust with it

Deja vu,my ski-doo 2007 would do the same thing, the fuel pump did go and then to motor went about 2000 miles after that, after dealer replaced with new short block next year started having same symptoms would bog not get high power and same thing dealer wanted to test run, next year that was enough for me got rid of.Always like the old ski-doos but something changed when changed to brp,i bought suzuki powered sled and so far motor always runs like a champ

Nothing changed. you are in the minority.

ha,just noticed your name ibreaksleds, makes me wonder if that has anything to do with it,ha.575 miles sled probably wasn't broken in correct, crucial break in period on sleds, you might have premature internal damage.but your symptoms sound all to familar with me,i and countless others got the shaft from brp!!!

This assumption is wrong and easily dis-proved with a compression check.

This is a fuel issue. no doubt about it. BRP has safeguards in place for improper break-in. You cant hurt the sled no matter how you break it in.

PS. you mean you got the shaft from your dealer. They are the middle man between any transactions or warranty's with the manufacturer and any good dealer will get it done, Even when out of warranty ;)

well the problem I see is you know how many people call BRP and complain....If BRP just handed out warranty work for all sleds out of warranty well, they wouldn't be practicing very good business.

With a good dealer you would of had it all covered.....cant call BRP and say my sled is out of warranty FIX IT I bought 3 sleds.

I duno just my experience. does suck when something so close to warranty happens but that's life. Good luck with poo

the name is just me being ironic. my yamaha was solid tile a pic went thru the exchanger.. and yes she was babied through break in also fluctuated rpms and never to hard on her. break in finished around 420. between 420 and 575 it was fun but then it started
