2016 skidoo 1200

2016 could be the year that I change from Polaris to Ski Doo (Yeah, Polaris ditched us faithful 4-stroke Poo owners when they discontinued their 4s lineup at the end of the 2014 model year). And I need a wide snowmobile, plus I can now go to the Doos without having to have a bumble bee. My radar is zeroing in on the Grand Touring 2016 model year, but I'm wondering if anyone has some feedback on this (or their 2015 sled)? This would be a huge change from my Evinrudes (1967-1975) and Polaris sleds (1984-2014). Goes without saying that I like a nice big wide sled, top speed is of little concern, as is gas mileage, and I am thinking that the 2016 Grand Touring Ski Doo with the 900 ACE engine will fit right in. Will be watching for any feedback on this 2016 Ski Doo 1200 thread.

This looks legit and it was on ski-doo website for awhile. Little planned sneak peak to get people talking. It would be good if its true as people of been begging for this for a few years.

A friend, who I would NEVER suspect of riding a 90 hp sled, got a new 900 ACE last month and so far absolutely loves it.........this is a guy who has always ridden 800s and Mach Zs.......go figure.........

Have 2015 GT LE 900ACE and GT Sport 600ACE. Great sleds. LE version is substantially nicer than the Sport (80 pounds more too).

Really like the 900 for my riding (on trail). Good power but not taxing. Flip to sport mode to dink around. Getting solid (GPS miles to tank fill gallons) 20MPG with the 900. Very good wind protection with the XR chassis.

The 600 is nice. Max's out around 65 on flat and smooth with two people. Mellow in normal, fun in sport mode.

My plan this year is to replace the wifes '07 GSX 550 with a 900ACE Renegade. She is pretty excited to see what this year brings. A friend bought one of the 900ACE MXZ and the sled is quiet and has good power... Never thought of this sled until after seeing one in action.

I know several guys with 900 ace's and they all speak highly of the engine. If the 1200 gets updated with ITC it most likely will get rid of the throttle lag that some gripe about. I bet 1200 in new skin and ITC will be even more popular in the 4s market then it already is

I have a 15 1200 Grand touring. Best Sled I have ever owned after I put 8" Shaper Bars on the outside of the SL Ski's Gas mileage could be a little better expect 13 to 15 on a 1200.
