Sneak Peak is about what's new and spring special orders/ color choices. Think they're thinking is "why bring sleds that aren't high volume spring/special order and can be seen at dealers."
Want an ace, its and in season model and can stop at any dealer and check them out.
Kinda same with indy, it's in season model. But guess what, no 800 this year!!
Also interesting you can now get 144" 600 switchback sp. Basically same as assault minus the name and shocks.
Now who can tell me the difference between a pro-x and XCR? That's probably biggest surprise for me is manufacturers continue to make so many models with subtle differences.
.

I believe the XCR has reinforced rails, tunnel, maybe different bars and riser etc. and the shock package is said to be between the S and X.

From the mags;
The new "rider-centric" AXYS XCR will be available in a 600 or 800cc version. It's basically a 120-inch Rush with all the best-of-the-best options on it, including the Pro-XC rear suspension. The rail beams are reinforced, there is chromoly on the front torque arm of the rear suspension, and the rear pivot, heavy duty track mounts and solid bogie wheels as well as racing rear axle wheels are just a few upgrades from a standard Pro-S Rush. A new brake rotor with more surface area, as well as new Type 81 brake pads and a new "ram air"-type brake scoop for cooling the area, are some more examples of the XCR’s racing background. Most importantly to many folks that might take this cross country racing, it has Walker Evans Hi-Lo compression adjustable shocks all the way around, with a 2-inch diameter center track shock.

“Think of this acting more like an off-road rally truck,” said engineer Jason Miller. “We want it to be fast around the corners, with little roll, but also able to take big hits and jumps.”

A 1.35-inch lugged Cobra track gives this a little more grip, and a 2.52-inch pitch driveshaft with a solid jackshaft help put power seamlessly and durably back to that track. There is also a beefier Pro-X torsion bar in the front end, and a Pro-X handlebar riser holding the racer bars.

It says 120" track but if the drivers are 2.52 pitch, the track would be 121"????

Right, but how many people who walk into the showroom are gonna know that, heck how many salesmen. Lol. So is it really needed? Couldn't it just be combined with Pro-X.

I agree. way too may models if that was the point.

Seems better to just go with shock & track options throw in prestudded tracks as well. Match it all up with color options in Spring then narrow it down in Fall. Get the way you want it in Spring then go fish in Fall/Winter. As far as sales some good ones out there & you can tell in a few minutes if informed.
