Don't bother pre-ordering, end of year 19's are already discounted for Doo, the rest soon to follow.
Wait til after this weekends rain/warm temps as most trails south of Green Bay, WI will close and well be back to all riding the U.P., manufacturers can't ignore that.
Heck, Green Bay had it's camper show last week and the Boat show in 2 more; guys would rather spend dough on things they can actually use. Manufacturers have to act fast with rebates.
2 days ago I saved $2,300 for a 19 that the pre-order guy paid (If he got a decent deal) 59 days ago.

Your correct on the $200 increase on a $13,000 sled though, not bad though only 1.5% increase.

And you'll sell it in what, a month?

The Yamaha & Cat supply & R&D agreement expires this spring. No news on a renewal, expansion, or termination.

Yeah well, good luck with that! I wouldn't hold my breath by what I have seen of Textron's plan for their motorsports. This past Sat I was riding with a friend, and he had some very interesting info from inside Textron. Doesn't sound at all like how things went when Textron owned Poo.

It doesn't matter to me how long or when it sells, its about how many miles I rode it and price per mile.

This is known to be the fuji fiscal policy!

More Doo Blizzard models being available again?

Have to give the guy with the Yammy-wrapped AC Alpha major props for the real life troll job he pulled off. Hilarious!

Perhaps, a 2-storke Yami mountain sled, in a AC Pro Cross/Alpha, possibly modified, chassis. That is the best bet "could be" from Yamaha. Who's engine? Who knows, but more than likely Cat, as Yami said many years back, they were 4-stroke only. This is the only way Yami can get back into the mountain market period, and gain some market share. There would be buyers. That is, if they are to stay in the sled market at all?

Old abe hit the nail on the head by indicating the biggest problem manufacturers have is keeping the buyers in the market. I have days I question the cost to chance to ride ratio, and some days I feel like selling everything and moving to ... (don't know exactly, world travel?).

Yamaha did well with the SRX graphics to bring back an iconic sled.

I was parked on the side of the trail and a new SRX zoomed by, that blue looks so hot on a day with new snow; blazing.
I read the info on the sled though and it seems designed to be ridden on railroad grades and lakes; not too helpful in the twisties.

from what I’ve found is a lighter preload on springs/shocks to make it sit slightly lower. Also, a different track than the other sidewinders. Other than that it seems to be the same?????

Not being a Yamaha expert, hearing speed and lake impressed upon me the concept of the sleds as point and shoot. The 1 inch track kinda puzzles me? Maybe this will make it easier in the woods. Sure would like to try it.

Yamaha released the 2019 SRX as the fastest stock sled on the snow. The one inch track is all about rotating mass but I would think it would be studded for racing. For trail riding I would install a high windshield and would prefer a prestudded ice ripper or simular 1.25 track. The lower suspension will be fine on trails just have to figure out best ski and carbide combo. I wouldn’t mind buying a used SRX and equip it for trail riding. I suspect most buyers will keep their SRXs unless it stays in the line up then the numbers will increase

Heard Polaris is coming out with a triple based off the 600. Just added 1 more.

Just kidding, but I think it would be cool.

The fastest sled on snow was the 2003 RX1.

Fitted the 2011 APE-x with a 1" Hacksaw shoe studded with 7/16" penetration and transfer set @ 70%....hang on....what a riot. That 128" Hacksaw lug pattern with 2.56 pitch grabs the snow way better than a Ripsaw IMO.
