I am old. I am not going to waste the little time I have left watching a spectacle that infuriates me. They have managed to take a one hour game and turn it into a 3 and1/2 hour bunch of crap. Advertisements after every play. Instant ??????? replay. Divas. Too many rules. Crappy refs. Rigged games. And now there will be signs and symbols and who knows what in addition to the original crap. Watching paint dry is more satisfying.

No preseason, limited training camp, etc. This could be really ugly. Even uglier will be the signage that is expected. Names on the helmets...think of how the young girl that Jacob Blake assaulted feels when she sees his name on a helmet. The NFL is on a slippery slope with the social justice crowd. Did you notice what happened to the Milwaukee Bucks? They refused to play a playoff game in protest of current events and they lost 3 out of 4. They're done, they're at home watching the playoffs. One of the best teams in the league this year screwed the pooch by breaking their momentum. And they gained nothing for their efforts.

Sorry for the rant, where's the Tylenol?

There has really never been a time in my life that I don't remember professional sports being important to me. Sure, I've maybe lost a little interest in NASCAR since Number 3 died, and the NFL kneeling deal certainly started to turn me away. But, this "social justice" thing, at a time when it doesn't feel real anyway, since there aren't any fans watching, is going to deal a huge blow to pro sports of all types.

Kneel for the Flag? Go ahead. This is still America. When you do it on "company time" there will be consequences, so don't cry when we lose interest.

Wear the name of Jacob Blake on your helmet, or cancel games to honor him? F/U.

Watched Chiefs / Texans game last night and the football was pretty good. The political monologue SUCKED just not the place for it. If this continues pregame, halftime and national anthem will not be watched I’ll just do something else tune back in later.

Social justice millionaires playing a game. I used to love the NFL and my dreadful Vikings. Its gonna be hard to turn it on this year. Man I wish they could just leave the BS out of it and play the game. That was an escape on sundays from all the day to day crap I deal with. Can't willingly subject myself to it if thats what its gonna be. Messages in the endzone. Messages on helmets. Messages on shoes. Kneeling for the National Anthem! Nope I am out.

Simple for me, If they can't play our National Anthem as we all know it for so many years then I am out. I have lived 2/3rd of my life and don't need to have it rubbed in my face by these privileged athletes singing "We are the World".

TV viewers were down by about 7 million people compared to last year's first game. That's approximately everyone that lives in Wisconsin. Anyone surprised?

Just got off my lawn mower and had a text that the family of george flyod blew the viking horn before todays game. Also said there was a lot of preaching about racism and social just from greg jennings in the announcer booth. I am sooooo done with the NFL. Actually all pro sports except hockey. done.

The Pre Games were pretty much unwatchable, all preaching and little football. I'll give them one more week and then decide. I thought the Packers kept things neutral if that is at all possible. They stayed in the locker room until after the anthem and I didn't notice any "messaging" on their helmets. By the way, the group that did sing the National Anthem did a great job, first class!

Glad to see football again but I get my preaching in church not on the pre-game show. Pack is 1-0 and back to Lambeau next week to host the Lions.

Yeppers same here 30 minutes into pregame and lecture started so I switched up to weather channel to catch up on hurricanes. I came back to NFL fox ticket right at bears lions game kickoff. Trubisky sucked for 50 minutes of 60 minute game then put up 21 points in Q4. Imo the Bears should have had the Lions on the ropes in Q1 but Trubisky was off inaccurate looked bad had me thinking his lousy QB play was about to destroy the moral of the entire team. Lions are dangerous probably a 500 team if they can avoid injuries. A W always helps and Trubisky earned another start. Up to me I would have put in Noles mid Q3 then he caught fire in Q4.... totally unexpected by me.

Ha Whitedust sense you watch bear-loin game I have a question for you. My wife thought she saw some people in the stands on a quick clip they showed during packer game could you confirm if this was true please. Reason I’m asking is if they allowed people in how could they ever ask UP to shutdown for snow season. Would really confirm who pays who. Thanks

No fans but maybe she saw practice squads socially distanced in the stands which are obviously part of the teams. Whatever happens this MI snowmobile season is in Governor Whitmer’s hands. Whitmer was been very heavy handed towards MI business durning covide restrictions remember when she restricted fishing and boating as a pandemic spreader so snowmobiling would be right in her wheelhouse if Covid numbers are up. As far as I know MI groomer repair funds have not been released yet.

Thanks WD that’s what I figured but had it ask. On the note of groomer funds a week or two ago the MI-trail group were out and graded part of trail 2 from Marinesco to the east but I don’t know if that was government funded by trail passes or if by funding by MI-trail group

The KC-Houston game had fans in the stadium. Sat at least 6 feet from each other.

Saw highlights of the pregame on youstube.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. The reward is up to 300 K and I'd sure like to be there when they bring that coward in.

x2 on Gayle Sayers. Imagine the stats he would have had if he had been not injured a lot and had a long career.

Sayers was the best pure running back I ever had a chance to see play only Barry Sanders came close to what Gale could do on a football field. I was very surprised he died of dementia and had a law suit against the Bears that his brain injuries were mistreated and caused his dementia. Rip Gale. I remember you!
