Winter Weather Forecast for 2025

Get the official Old Farmer's Almanac winter weather forecast for 2024 to 2025! Will it be a bad winter? When will it snow? The 2025 Almanac predicts the long-range weather for the upcoming winter season for the U.S. and Canada.

According to the Almanac, they are predicting (not forecasting) another below average snowfall season for the Upper Midwest with Mild & Dry conditions. I don't see it being as far below average as last year, as such, the upcoming winter should certainly be an improvement from the abysmal season of 2023-2024. As John has said, you can't have any faith in anything beyond a 4 day period & even that is susceptible to change. I am optimistic for a better winter than last year, perhaps not our "normal" winter, but a better one than last. I guess we'll find out when winter gets here. One day at a time.

All I know is we're gonna pay the price sooner or later for this nice stretch of weather we're having!!

So far early season forecasts are coming in warm less snow than average for northern Great Lakes. This is where we miss John’s knowledge. Imo can’t be worse than last year never seen anything as snowless as last winter in the Northwoods. Hopefully late November will turn on the LES guns as usual.

are you looking at the "old" almanac or the "new" completely different outlooks LOL, if it doesn't come through it will be all my fault. I have faith that mother nature will remind us that she plain and simple ( insert derogatory word here ) up last year and wont happen again!..... I HOPE!
