29 m.p.g. on a sled

Personally as my back gets older, I would like to see a 60 hp sled weigh in at 250 lbs. This is the only equation that the makers have paid little attention to. This solves problems with high insurance rates and fuel economy, and a bunch of things because we are still building battle ship chassis which are heavy.

When you look at what they have done to put motorized machines on the moon, 40 years ago, we have room for improvement and still get the rush from a throttle squeeze. We have barely touched the engineer "light" department.

When they do...all these behemoth machines will be sitting in museums.

My dad got 41+mpg on his 1970 Polaris TX 400 (436 Fuji Motor) at the St. Paul Winter Carnival Gas Mileage contest they used to have years ago.

Made the cover of Snowgoer (I think, I can double check when I see it hanging on his office wall this weekend) magazine for it back then.

600 E-TEC and 600 ACE

Just wanted to point out that the new 29 mpg 60 hp Ski-Doo 4 stroke motor is called the ACE and is not an E-TEC. The 600 E-TEK 2 stroke is an entirely different motor with around 120+ hp stock.

what is wierd is we just did some fuel economy testing on the etec and we only got 14mpg on it. were thinking it was mostly because the trail conditions were horrible. but we got it to nearly double with some driveline changes, that we are still working on.
