In MI 3 lines for one license is legal. You knew that right ?

6 lines between 2 fisherpersons plus add in blowing snow, wind, cold and a heated shanty. Sounds good to me.

Yup, three lines is legal in Michigan, since April I think. Can wait to get on the ice, a couple of tip ups and a rod/reel inside the shanty!

Hubbard Lk in NE Lower MI. Every Jan for about the past 25 yrs my buddy and I do a 5 day trip so we have our routine down. We set up the first day and stay put. Each day we're out there before sun up till 11am, come back to the house for b'fast/lunch take a nap and back out at 3pm till after dark. We put in some serious hours. To early to worry about ice, but the last few years only because of a frigid artic snap just prior, it was safe for sleds.

What you fishing for up that way? I have never fished that lake before was thinking about going this year for perch on the ice.
