Miaferominka, money's not the issue, I wanted some opinions on pulling a 4 place with no brakes, simple as that! I don't want to stick a ton of money into this sport, I have 3 sleds in the family and need to upgrade trailers.
I have towed my 28' to the spray wash and back with one of my 1 ton work trucks with no electric brakes and it took everything The truck had to stop the damn thing. That was a 1.5 mile trip never did it again.
you can do it but I did not have a very good experience... my brakes werent working and I towed anyway.... big mistake... super icy and snow covered conditions... long story short trailer got away from me after a 18wheeler blew by me going who knows how fast. Pretty scary seeing your own 22' trailer passing you!!!! wrecked a couple of the sleds and the trailer... so please be careful. I have been trailering toys for 25 yrs now, I dont "push it" and it happened to me, it could happen to you. my $.02
must have brakes, if you have to stop fast good luck without them, i had a 4 place alum in mn and coming down the gunflint trail when the brakes were froze scared the F#$%^&g out of me with my 1 ton trying to stop in freezing rain, dam near had a heart attack!!!
After thinking more about this I decided to look for a trailer with brakes, going to look at a 3 place inline enclosed tomorrow. Thanks for the replies.
