600 Etek how reliable

I understand that the harder you ride them the worse the milage you will get. It is still good mileage for sure for riding them hard. It is the oil that is surpising me. I thought these were supposed to use less oil but basically from the numbers I am seeing above (and off the top of my head figures) you are useing 1 qt roughly to a tank. That still makes it 40:1 roughly?!?! Correct or am I missfigureing...If this is the case they should not advertise them as useing less oil but instead better milage.... ;*]. I know what you mean thought because on my attak I have been averaging about 14 and a lot of people tell me that is on the low side, but I ride it as hard as my 01 800 doo and I only got 8 mpg out of that (which my boy rides now and gets 12 out of)so I am still happy!!!! Wife has an 07 Blizzard 800 and she gets just a tad better then me so I will have to see what this new e tek pans out like. If it ain't gunna get a whole lot better I think every sled from here out will be a 4 for me.....(maybe ha ha)

My '09 gade with the E-Tec has been great....I have seen as high as 21mpg and as low as 17 mpg.....since I've owned it I have added oil once in 1200 miles......the sled handles and has great power for a 600......I would never go back to my old ZX chassis or my sons Edge.......

Been on Polaris since almost before got to ride a 10 gade yesterday for quite a few miles, some darting, but a set of dooly's will take care of that. VERY impressed with the cornering (very stable) and the ride quality (rear skid). MASybe goodby to my 09 SB.

I rode gade09's etek out west last year and was impressed with the ride and power. It pulls like nothing else I ever rode. Comes with a nice tow rope too. It pulled my Switchback right back to the resort with my big arse holding the brake...lol....not really Bill. It also pulled me back to Mass city in December. It is a good sled.

We have 2 2009 Renegade "X" sleds with this engine, and have been very impressed with the whole package. No engine issues, absolutely sip oil, average 18-21 mpg with both. Nicest sled(s) ever owned. Usually switch sleds every 2 years, but won't as these are worthy of keeping!

I'd love to pick up an 09 Renegade X 600 e-tec. Sorry to hear you'll be keeping yours!

Gas hauler

Its always nice to ride with a gas hauler then I can ride as hard as i want.
