Wisconsin is way too reliant on snow storms. Lake effect isn't really a storm, it's a microclimate anomaly almost completely unique to the midwest.

I'd never buy a sled if I had to rely on snowstorms, way too unreliable. I'm usually 100 miles from a trailhead that gets lake effect, but we rarely bother, we go straight to Newberry and ride from there.

Gaylord gets pounded, but the traffic is unreal there.

This winter has been a stinker, but there are hundreds of square miles of snow in the UP, 4 hours away.

Hey, as long as the UP has snow all is right with the world. Most people on this site could care less what kind of snow is south of there. Just sayin.

Hate WI and the Packers..oops, did I say that out loud. Must be the stupid email the Packers sent to season ticket holders today saying something like; it's the love of the Packers that we share. Yeah right! No Packers and no snow.
