I have a carb on my sled that is leaking gas out of the vent hose coming off the carb. It is also idleing faster than normal. If I plug one vent hose gas comes out the other vent hose. I rebuilt the upper end a couple of years ago and have not run it since. It was leaking than. Any idea's as to why gas juse pours out of those hoses?

Welcome to John Dee vintage sleds
My guess is that the needle & seat is letting excess fuel into the float bowl, or there's varnish on the float and/or float pins making the float stick.....A quick check pull the bowl off and see if the floats move up and down. Sometimes you can just spray them off inside with carb cleaner. You can then also verify nothing is stuck in the needle and seat.

Thanks for the info. After looking at youtube I have come to that conclusion also. I have been a member here for 5-6 years at least, but am listed as a new member.
