99 Polaris Liberty 700 carb boot crack

These look and feel like hard plastic, and what appears to be seams from when they were molded, turns out to be actual cracks in the hard plastic.

I know I need to do something about them, but I hear they are $65 a piece new? Can these be repaired? Surface glue on them of some sort to "plug" the crack?

Anyone else familiar with these and have any other ideas?

which boot we talking about here? the boot that runs to the air box or the one to the motor?

Indy, if the rubber boot between the carb and motor is cracked than replace it. $65 is far less than a lean cylinder situation.

Between the carb and the reed cage on the motor. It is NOT rubber, it is hard plastic, at least thats what it appears to be looking and pressing on it.

It appears to be an easy fix, just trying to see if I can get by for less than $130 by repairing it......Clearly I don't want the lean condition.

it wasn't my problem lol, did you just think it was mine because of the 99 700?

if its the one between the carb and the motor, then replace. The one between the carb and air box aint as big a deal. If those are cracked i'd just glue them or tape them.
