I hate to interrupt our discussions of 4 Strokes, Cannibus, and Sasquatch but here goes;

Saturday marks the 43rd anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior. We all know the story and have all heard the song, I thought it appropriate to give pause to remember the tragedy.

Sunday is Veterans Day. Thank you to all who are serving and to those that have served. Veterans Day is being observed on Monday as a national holiday but the actual date is on November 11th. Originally called Armistice Day to signify the end of World War I. On the 11th hour of the 11th day the Great War ended.

"We sleep safely at night because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would harm us." quote by Winston Churchill

For sure Gary!

Heard the song today. Gordon definitely memorialized the ship and it's crew in the song and deservedly so.

11.11: In our little local cemetery every veteran gets a star marker to indicate that they served in the military. There are stars everywhere. It really brings home just how many have stepped up to defend this country.

Thanks to all you current and former service members for, as most of you would say: "Just doing your job." It's bigger than that but however you want to describe it, you do it better than anyone else in the world.

Thanks Again!
