A disapointing December for snow totals

I was hoping that this year could be a good one for snow in the UP especially its my first year here..But so far in the far western UP we are almost a foot behind last years totals. I am real glad to see John's new outlook. My info was taken from the local paper, if anybody wants more such as help wanted adds, homes for sale etc.. on the Ironwood and surrounding communities here is the web site. http://www.yourdailyglobe.com/

Was a pretty sweet December in the Twin Cities and south, 35"+! Trails are still snow covered, frozen crusty ice until a few sleds ride them or a groomer goes through, but snow covered non the less!

Guess its all in where you happen to be in December.

You can't compare last years totals to just December. If you compare last year with this year date to date, they're only behind last year by 10 inches, and according to John's forecast today, the Ironwood area could make that up and than some by the end of the week as LES is in the forecast. Last year Ironwood only had 170 inches for the entire season which is couple feet below average, but they didn't get any snow (I mean none at all) in March (extremely unusual). Lots off time left in the winter season. No need to worry. I grew up in that area - I know how fast it can pile up.

.yeah your right i edited my comment..I had visited in March and everything was melting, I guess i was hoping it would be a killer year and it has been almost snowless the past 2 weeks. And a good portion of that snow was in a 10 day period.

Our snow is given to us by a mythical wizard in the sky and if I talk to this wizard it will snow more?
