Yep, that's the one on County Road E. snodogg and I know Ted Schmitz pretty well and golf with him on Thursdays.

Only the wings are left on the lake. The fuselage has been hauled down to the boat landing.

Kinda looks like an old wwII trainer if im right those are relatively light because there outer coverings are made from very thin metal or canvas.. so getting out or off the ice shouldnt be to hard course i could be wrong but just my 2 cents ya know.. Wish him the best of luck getting it off the ice those are very cool

Here is where the plane was. They moved it off yesterday after removing the wings and fixing the landing gear. It was pulled of with 2 ATV's.

Just curious. What are the rules for when the FAA needs to get involved to investigate what went wrong?

Evidently it's a WWII spotter/observation plane. My buddy actually flew in that plane a year ago. I haven't heard how/what went wrong.

The plane is a Cessna L-19 Bird Dog.
