A Weekend in Mercer

I thought I'd share our experience of the past weekend in Mercer, Wisconsin. This was our annual Club Ride when we try to pull together as many members as possible for a weekend of riding. We stayed at the Great Northern Hotel which can be considered "snowmobile friendly" with adequate parking, good food and beverage. The rooms are large and clean but nothing fancy, just about perfect for a snowmobile weekend.

The trails were very good to start the weekend on Friday afternoon, by Saturday night I'd call them fair due to the heavy traffic. Yes it was cold, well below zero Friday and Saturday nights. If you're going this week you best take all the cold weather gear that you own, you're going to need it.

Regular Gas in town is at 2.29, out in the boonies I saw Premium at over 4 dollars a gallon. We had dinner just south of Hurley on Saturday night (no jokes please). I met the local Law Enforcement in Boulder Junction going too fast through town but he was decent about it and just gave me a warning. Be advised to slow down in the towns as our behavior reflects on all snowmobilers.

We had one breakdown but the parts were available in town at the Arctic Cat dealer and another rider rolled it on it's side in an Icy Corner but was able to finish the weekend with minor repairs. All together a great weekend of snowmobiling.Think Snow!

OK, I'll take a look. I've heard of that happening to others. Thanks!

Kind of odd, I've used the same Soundtrack before without issues. I'll work on it today.

For the time being I've removed the video to eliminate any confusion. If I can make it work I will add it later.

OK, it took me a couple of days but I finally got the video fixed. It seems that YouTube has changed their licensing policy for music content. Anyway, it runs about 3 minutes if you care to watch, nothing special just our club having some fun on the trails in Northern Wisconsin.

Thanks for getting that fixed so we can watch. Do you have a you tube channel you post to regularly? I post vids all the time, if interested in watching go to my profile, then click on albums, is a link to my channel.
