We'll there's a guy that isn't worried about the price of gas or groceries.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Packers and Rodgers have agreed to terms on a four-year, $200 million deal. It makes him the highest paid player in league history. He’ll get $153 million guaranteed, and it will reduce his cap number of $46.66 million.

I kinda thought he'd be staying but man....how much is enough for some of these guys.

Love to see a Superbowl win for that kind of money. Is everyone else staying as well?

Sounds like Denver landed Wilson no need for Rogers. Adams probably gets the franchise tag GB same old same old but will lose some talented players to the Cap. I don’t see anything more than a playoff exit for GB. The rest of the North gunning for them proactively getting better probably will be closer inter division games. I’m ok with signing Rogers probably the best they could do for now but the big crash and rebuild is coming.

Aaron Rodger's To Do List
1. Stop at the bank, make deposit
2. Pick up groceries, LOTS of groceries
3. Might as well stop for gas & top off the tank
4. Back home, pour a Scotch & call ex girlfriend

Life is Good in Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood
(at least until the playoffs)

Meanwhile......
Denver will send a pair of first-round picks, a pair of second-round picks, and three players to Seattle as part of the deal for Russell Wilson. Multiple reports indicate that the Broncos will also send a fourth-round pick to the Seahawks and Seattle will send Denver a fifth-round pick.

The three players heading from the Broncos to the Seahawks are quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, and defensive lineman Shelby Harris.

I'm thinking that's what the Pack would've received, if not more, had they traded the league's MVP.

LOL

1/3 the salary cap for AR and DA

And they still have not figured out how to beat the 49ers in the playoffs

Seems Aaron has forgotten about all the issues he had with the team and management last year. I guess 200m will do that to a person.

The other thing that that money made him forget about is how he is always crying he needs better players around him, but with that money they won’t be able to pay anyone else.

People are only worth what the employer is willing to pay. That is the honest to goodness truth.

Full transparency...I think for 200M for a few years work I would have forgotten the BS too. ;)

Rogers won’t like running for his life when top OL can’t be paid or cheap rookie receivers that don’t properly run patterns or a mediocre running game that the rush doesn’t pause on play action. Rogers is great and so is Adams but both are unaffordable nothing left for others. The rebuild is coming soon and if gets real bad Rogers will retire. Adams tagged this year won’t like 2 in a row at his age. Problems on the horizon.

Yes, Rodgers is excellent, but, If they think $200M is going to get them a Super Bowl, they are sadly mistaken. What a waste, even if it is only & I say only, 46.6M, that is absolutely pathetic. As stated in previous posts, no $ left in the coffers for the rest of the organization, poor decision in my opinion. Oh well......

Detroit and the Bears and even the Queens will be better next year. The Pack will be diminished. It would be a hoot if someone else won the division. And it is very possible. All the eggs are in one basket. If Rodgers gets bunged up they are absolutely screwed.

Detroit was in every game this season played hard football. A little luck could be near 500.
Maybe. But it's the same mantra every year - - a little luck, the refs screwed us, injuries, blah blah blah. 65 years don't lie. The Lions will never amount to a hill of beans until the Fords sell them, or their blindly loyal fans wake up and stop supporting them. Or both.
