Where: Springstead Lake Lodge Springstead, Wi. (12 miles west of Mercer, Wi)
The 3rd annual Vintage weekend is coming up fast. I am sure that you all see many of these activies planned around the Midwest. We do it a bit different. Since we own the resort, we change the whole place just for this 1 weekend. The inside is decorated back to 1971 era. We serve cold Pabst, Schlitz & Blatz on ice. Outside we have a 20'x40' heated tent on the lake for the weekend. We hold a huge lake bonfire on Friday evening and allow all to ride the old iron around the lake. Friday night at 8PM we will be having our iron parade around the lake.
Saturday is the big day with a morning breakfast starting at 7am, then a 20 or so mile ride to the famous Turtle Flombeau Flowage and back leaving at 10am. We come back around 2PM to hold a snowmobile loud pipes contest, and some other interesting activities. All the sleds will be running around the lake on Sat. afternoon. Expect to see hundreds of running sleds from the 60's & 70's. Here we run them all. No trailer queens allowed. This weekend is for all to have fun using the machines.
