Advice on selling my trailer

Ok, I've posted this in a different thread but I decided to sell my sleds and trailer and rent this coming season. Looking for some advice about how long to wait to sell the trailer and what a good price point for it would be. Obviously when we sell we want to get top dollar but I don't want to sit on it too long either. Without going into a lot of detail it's a 22 foot NEO in line 3 place that I finished off the inside with foam board insulation, FRP, e track tie downs, 110 outlets and dimmable LED lighting. I've posted a lot of pictures of a previously so hopefully some of you know what I've put into it. Anyone have some price ideas? Think I'll be sorry if I wait till the begining of October to try to sell it?

all I know was it was a tad shocking how cheep sleds were priced at the outlaw grass drags last week and still sitting unsold . between last winter and the big event they say is coming this winter that we dare not say its name. looking ugly for selling anything. advertise up in Canada with free delivery if u want top dollar. then u can use camper for 1 last fall camping trip at same time

So, Gary, what are you thinking $, I've been kicking this enclosed trailer thing around for a couple years, and back when you were doing the
work on the inside I bookmarked the thread so I still have all the pictures. I really like the multi use idea, thinking I would like to take my sidexside and my wife and go camping, so how tall is it? You can message me if you would like.

Thanks, Brent

It really depends on the side by you have. Something like a Ranger won't fit in. When I looked at trailers I checked the Wildcat dimensions and that would fit without a problem although some models now would be close, they would still make it. The rear ramp is 67" tall and 76" wide. The interior height is 72".

Why not post it now if you are serious about selling? I mean, someone will eventually come up to your price, or make you an offer you can't refuse. So what if you have to update the ad a couple times.

Probably get close to what you paid for it + accessories if in very good condition. Used enclosed trailers are not difficult to sell when priced correctly. Enclosed the only way to go, imo, unless you just don't have the lean green then open will have to do. Peeps like to buy trailers now so they have good weather to make modifications ,slides, mats, stuff like that.

Start listing it in all the snowmobile forums and of course Craigslist. Be very detailed so you don't have people asking you all the obvious questions. Detail in the ad with good pictures will weed out a lot of the "shoppers". I wouldn't base your asking price on the accessories you added. One guys wants/needs are different from everyone else's. And I agree, don't be afraid to update the ads a few times. If we don't get cold weather early, you might be stuck with it for a while. Don't expect to come out even on the deal. Good luck

the reason I was thinking of waiting was really just due to my schedule. It will take a little work to get it ready because I have to get rid of the camping stuff in it. I've got a busy month so I was thinking closer to October but maybe I should just bite the bullet and do it all this weekend. I don't figure I'll get all my money out of it, but I do think the investment of the insulation, FRP and electric will be something almost anyone would appreciate.

Wish I was in the market for a finished enclosed trailer, I'd be all over it. If it's the one I'm thinking of, remember seeing pics and updates on one being finished posted here on JD. You should have no problem getting a fair price out of it. People are starting to look for winter stuff now, so the sooner you can get it listed would pay off.

I have the same trailer Gary has and positioned ying yang style I was able to get a 121, 129, 136 and 137 in it.
For you guys thinking about a bigger trailer to upgrade to from an enclosed 8'6" wide 2 place, do it.
These inlines pull so much nicer in any kind of head wind, I was surprised. And being able to store and walk around your sleds in an upright postion alone is worth the upgrade....think of it like an addition to your garage you can pull behind your truck....LOL

Thanks for the replies everyone. Took the main comment about timing and canceled all my plans yesterday to get it ready. Should have everything ready to go later today so I'll put up a classified once I write the copy, sort through the 65 photos I have of it and figure out what price I plan to put on it. For now, here's a couple photos.

I've been noticing the same,Doesn't help that the manufacturers blow out the hold overs, Country Cat has some great pricing now. I don't think I will ever buy a new sled unless its a leftover. The man's screw the guys over on resale that spring order or buy current, B.S IMO

I'm trying to figure out how to get all the important photos into a posting but I'll do something with the summer set up. Here's the "Camping" back ramp set up. 12 screws and 15 minutes is all it takes to get it in or out. The front cabinet and carpet squares are just as fast.

When it took some time, but I got it posted on CL with 24 photos, and in the classifieds here with a few of those. Decided on $6,995. Thanks again for the comments everyone, now lets see how long it takes to sell.
