Good thing we took it in January this past year. 1st week in January and pouring rain with trails closed between Dueberville and Chapleau. We opted to spend the night at a freind of Luc's and take the train. What a beautiful trip.

Luc sent me info today that the rails/trails program is still in effect. Not sure what that means for sure. The train has to run cargo and sleds are cargo.. I suspect the news is about the tourist train ride part of the service up to Agawa Canyon and back. I will report back as I get more info.
guess I should not have procrastinated so long.
was on my list of trips. always thought I would do it when I got a bit older and was not spending so much time in the woods.

From the info I have so far is that the "snow Train" excursion is cancelled but the "snowmobile" excursion part is still going to operate. Along with the freight will still be hauled. The snow train is "just" a train ride up to the Canyon and back. It only is a part way up the line event to see the cliffs, rocks, snow and that wild curved bridge to Agawa canyon. I have done this excursion with the wife and kids and the kids were totally bored with it.
I just tried the 800 number and the office is closed. From what Luc mentioned on FB is that the "snow train" portion of the business will not be running this winter.
