Nope..... not this year.... no sirree..... not again

Well I see it's that time a year again...... Traffic on JD picks up, crazy posts start showing up, a young man puts a new track on his sled.
Others go crazy over few flakes of snow in October, other's see 5 yr forecast and know this must be the year.

Ohh, the excitement, the anticipation...........

Me?....................NOT THIS YEAR MOTHER NATURE!!.................

oh no.
October and haven't watched one sledding video.........
Magazines? piling up on the coffee table.
Parts? None.
New, shiny showroom floors? nada one.
Big snowmobile shows? Working.
Reservations? None.
Sled/trailer. Still collecting dust since last ..........February.

Nope,................. not gonna break my heart this year mother nature!
John's winter forecast.... I just smiled, yup doesn't matter one way or the other to me.
Nope, I got a 4 -sale sign all lined up for January thaw.
Even if I have to practically give it away, to some poor working cnc/machinist in Greenville who wants a 4-stroke long track (lol).

So if it snows great if not......
Yup, I'll just laugh at you and go buy a 4- wheeler.

Take that mother nature!!

oh, forgot the smile faces. ;) :p :D

She's a pretty smart old lady. I have tried many things and the only thing that has worked for me was to break my femur in half.

Did that Feb 4, 2001. It did nothing but dump snow the rest of the season. About 6 weeks after breaking it, I even had to hobble out and dig a hole in the snow to look out the picture window of my living room that started 6 feet off the ground.

Been there too John, I smashed the crap out of my lower leg and ankle several years ago in a fall from a tree, in January. Holy crap it snowed that year. Try to get a 13 yr old to run a snowblower......the Sunday paper does not go through a snowblower very well......(it was buried in 12" of fresh snow of course.)

I'm with eagle1 & will take it as it comes not going to get all pumped up preseason but my sled will be ready to ride by Nov. I have not even entered the door of any dealership to check out new sleds & plenty in Eagle River.:( I usually do all my 4s stuff in Spring but lost interest in the March thaw after 20" dump & melt....a heartbreaker for sure said screw it & went to FL for 2 months.lol On the bright side I did ride at least 2400 miles last season maybe more need to check odometer. This season I do know it will snow in Vilas County & WUPMI & there will be riding out my front door. Easy for me to say living in Phelps,WI not so easy for flatlanders. :)

Ok, I admit, I'am still a little scarred from last year.
She got the best of me last year but the last thing I want is somebody going out and getting hurt just so I can have lots of snow.

John- thanks for doing the seasonal forecast and the enjoyable site.
What ever it is it is. I truly am not getting my hopes up this year. I'll just make the most of it and enjoy what I can.

I'm prepared for the worst (think of last year) and anything better than last year will be an improvement.

Seriously, it can only get better. Think Snow!

John, I don't suppose the chances are very good that you'd be willing to take another one for the team? :)

Don't worry it's gonna snow, Squat's out of commision from his motorcycle accident and he won't even be able to snowblow the driveway this year. So I guarantee tons of snow!! I'll be up at 5am again clearing the driveway so the parents can drop off their kids and go home for their snow day from work!!!!

Hey its already been broke once. It should be easier to break it this time. ;)

That leg can only get bent now (stainless steel rod in it), I would have to break the other and not quite ready to go that far yet! :)

Mother Nature is married to Ol' Man winter, she wears the pants in the family.
Ol' Man winter will have to ask Mother Nature for his Ballz back to have a heck of a winter.
